Mount Meru is a dormant stratovolcano located 70 kilometers west of Mount Kilimanjaro in southeast Arusha Region, Tanzania. At a height of 4,562.13 meters, it is visible from Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day, and is the fifth-highest of the highest mountain peaks of Africa, dependent on definition.

DAY 1: MERIAKAMBA HUT (FULL BOARD)
We drive from Arusha to Momela Gate. After a short registration at the Gate our walk will begin with full armed ranger escorting us, simply we can see along the way the wild animals including elephants,

Marangu Route is Popularly Known as the "Coca-Cola" route. Many people prefer the Marangu route because it is considered to be the easiest path on the mountain, given its gradual slope. It is also the only route which offers sleeping huts in dormitory style accommodations, While on this trek you have 5 days on the Mountain and two Nights in arusha hotel that makes its a total of 7 days including traveling days to and from Tanzania. Please note the safari can start from Either Arusha or Kenya.

The Rongai route ascents Kilimanjaro from the northeastern side of the mountain, along the border between Tanzania and Kenya. This route retains a sense of unspoilt wilderness and offers a different perspective on Kilimanjaro by approaching it from the north. The Machame route, commonly referred to as the “Whiskey route”, is one of the most popular routes on Kilimanjaro routes. Despite being a challenging climb compared to the Marangu route, the Machame route has one of the highest summit success rates landscape which allows climbers to “trek high and sleep low” hence making it a more favorable route for acclimatization.

The Lemosho route is one of the newer routes on the mountain, and a superb choice for your climb.
It is our preferred route due to its ideal balance of low traffic, beautiful scenery and a high summit success rate. The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the west, beginning with a long drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. From there, the first two days are spent trekking through the rainforest to Shira Ridge.
